360ml home recipe
Use 55°C warm water when whisking matcha. Use milk of choice for lattes.
Hot usucha / clear matcha
Sift 5g matcha into a bowl. Add 60ml warm water at 55°C and whisk until smooth and lightly foamy. Pour into a 360ml cup with 220ml hot water. Stir gently. Add brown sugar only if you prefer a sweeter cup.
Iced usucha / clear matcha
Fill a 360ml cup with ice and add 170ml cold water. Sift 5g matcha into a bowl, add 60ml warm water at 55°C, and whisk until smooth. Pour the matcha over the iced water. Add brown sugar only if you prefer a sweeter cup.
Hot matcha latte
Warm 220ml milk of choice. Add 12g brown sugar into a 360ml cup, then pour in the warm milk and stir until dissolved. Sift 6g matcha into a bowl, add 60ml warm water at 55°C, and whisk until smooth. Pour the matcha into the milk and stir gently.
Iced matcha latte
Add 12g brown sugar and 170ml milk of choice into a 360ml cup, then stir until dissolved. Fill the cup with ice. Sift 6g matcha into a bowl, add 60ml warm water at 55°C, and whisk until smooth. Pour the matcha over the iced milk.
