1. Controller and privacy team

Forest Cloud Sdn Bhd, of 132 Jalan Penang, 10000 George Town, Penang, Malaysia (“Forest Cloud”, “we”, “us” or “our”), is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this Privacy Notice. You may contact the Forest Cloud privacy team by email at privacy@forestcloud.com. This email contact point covers privacy questions, access or correction requests, consent withdrawal, direct-marketing objections, deletion requests where applicable, and complaints.

2. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you use our store and services, we may collect your name and contact details; account, order, delivery, transaction, cancellation and refund information; customer-service and wholesale enquiries; marketing and cookie choices; consent and opt-out records; IP address, device, browser, cookie and similar identifiers; and information about pages viewed, searches, clicks, cart, checkout and purchase activity. Forest Cloud does not receive or store your full payment-card number or security code; these are handled by the relevant payment provider.

3. Purposes and choices

We use information that is necessary to process payment, fulfil or arrange pickup and delivery, provide support, verify wholesale applications, prevent fraud, secure our systems, keep business records, and comply with tax or legal duties. With your consent where required, we use optional data for analytics, store improvement, attribution, personalised advertising and direct marketing. Refusing optional analytics or marketing cookies does not prevent you from buying from us. You may change your cookie choices at any time through the Cookie Preferences control available on our store.

4. Sources and recipients

We obtain personal data directly from you, from your device and interactions with our services, and from Shopify and service providers involved in your transactions. We may disclose only relevant information to Shopify, payment providers, delivery and pickup partners, Google/YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Klaviyo, customer-support and security providers, professional advisers, and public authorities where required by law.

5. Shopify Network Intelligence

Our store is hosted by Shopify. We use Shopify Network Intelligence and related Enhanced Services to improve store search, discovery, personalisation, performance, fraud prevention and, where you permit it, advertising relevance. Shopify may process information from your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify to provide these services. Other merchants cannot access Forest Cloud’s customer data. You may decline non-essential cookies, change your Cookie Preferences, use our Data Sharing Opt-Out page where applicable, or exercise rights relating to Shopify’s processing through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

6. Overseas processing

Our service providers may process personal data outside Malaysia, including in the United States and other countries in which they operate. Forest Cloud will rely on an applicable condition and safeguards under section 129 of Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010, including contractual safeguards, comparable protection and consent where required.

7. Retention schedule

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal compliance, security, dispute resolution or an active legal hold. We review these periods at least annually and delete, securely destroy or irreversibly anonymise data when the period ends.
